Opened in 2000, the Riu Atlantico is one of our most popular hotels, due to its friendly staff, excellent food & great value for golfers. It is also only a 50 mins drive from Faro airport.
It boasts a wonderful location, being situated on a fine, sandy beach on the beautiful peninsular of Isla Canela and next to the picturesque fishing village of Punta del Moral. The small Marina is only a five minute walk away offering 4 - 5 bars and restaurants, including the Australian Outback pub. The town of Ayamonte, which is on the border of Spain and Portugal, is only 7km from the hotel and this offers a very Spanish feel to it.
This lovely hotel has indoor and outdoor pools, with spacious sunbathing areas and direct access onto the beach. The public areas are delightful and in addition the hotel has snooker, table tennis, gym and cycle hire, and if that is not enough it also has a tennis court. The friendly bar offers an excellent range of cocktails as well as evening entertainment most nights.
