This 18 hole golf course is close to the Atlantic Ocean and alongside Europe’s most important nature reserve, El Coto de Doñana National Park. It has been designed as a combination of links and American styles and offers golfers of every standard a tough challenge.
The course is easy to walk, has Bermuda fairways and many bunkers protecting the large greens. Water affects many of the holes particularly the ‘signature’ par 3 5th where the green is on a small island. The course looks easy in places but you must keep the ball straight otherwise you will lose it in the olive & gorse bushes, which line many of the fairways.
The toughest hole is the par 5 4th with out of bounds all the way down the left, water in front of the green and if the wind is off the sea it will be right in your face. Keep your eyes out for birds of prey that often fly low over the course from the nearby National Park.
This course is one of the best kept secrets in Andalucia and earned their reward by hosting the Spanish Golf Professionals Open in spring 2005.
The clubhouse offers a lovely bar with views over the course and towards the National Park. There are good practice facilities at the club.
